          "text": "For the conductor of music: This psalm is known as \"the Song of the Menorah,\" because its seven verses and forty-nine words recall the seven branches and forty-nine bowls, bulbs, flowers and candles that made up the eternal light in the Temple. Abudarham suggests that \"one who reads this every day is considered as if he had lit the pure Menorah in the Temple, and received the Presence of God\"; the custom to say it at this point in the service follows Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Ari z\"l)."

          "text": "The LORD is King: The midrash has it that an angel emerges from the firmament every day and proclaims these words (quoted in Shibolei HaLeket), and the Sepharad tradition is to follow his example. The proclamation is followed by verses that speak of redemption, and of God's praises being uttered by all Israel and \"all that breathes.\""
