He is our God, who on our behalf repays our foes and brings just retribution on our mortal enemies; who performs great deeds beyond understanding; miracles and wonders beyond number; who kept us alive, not letting our foot slip; who led us on the high places of our enemies, raising our pride above all our foes; who did miracles for us and brought vengeance against Pharaoh; who performed signs and wonders in the land of Ham's children; who smote in His wrath all the firstborn of Egypt, and brought out His people Israel from their midst into everlasting freedom; who led His children through the divided Reed Sea, plunging their pursuers and enemies into the depths.
