"text": "While praying, concentrate on the meaning of the words. Remember that you stand before the Divine Presence. Remove any distracting thoughts, allowing the mind to remain focused on prayer. Before beginning the Amidah, take three steps back, then three steps forward. Recite the Amidah quietly—but audibly—while standing with feet together. Throughout the Amidah, ending on page 131, interruptions of any form are forbidden. See additional laws on page 589."
