Even if your dispersed will be at the furthermost parts of the world, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will fetch you. And the Lord your God will bring you into the land which your forefathers inherited and you shall inherit it, and He will do good to you and increase your numbers above your forefathers.<sup>1</sup> And it is said: Lord, be gracious to us, for we put our hope in You; be our strength every morning, our salvation also in time of distress.<sup>2</sup> And it is said: It is a time of trouble for Jacob, but he shall be delivered from it.<sup>3</sup> And it is said: In all their affliction He is afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them; in His love and in His pity He redeemed them, and bore them and carried them forever.<sup>4</sup> And it is said: Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and forgives transgression for the remnant of His heritage?
