We sought counsel what to do, but there is no advisor among us; we meditated and pondered, sought knowledge from the distant past. To prevent this nation from suffering anymore, we have unanimously proclaimed the Fast of Monday, Thursday and Monday, perhaps the Holy One will look down upon us, and His compassion will forestall His wrath.
