"text": "1 Free choice can only occur if one's options are comparable in some way. For example, good can be compared to—and differentiated from—evil. We therefore have a free choice between one and the other. The Jewish soul is an example of something that has no comparison—it is so different from the souls of other nations that one cannot say it was truly \"chosen\" by God. When we declare in this blessing that God \"chose\" us, we are referring to our bodies, which are indeed similar to those of other nations. "text": "2 Something that is really \"true\" doesn't cease. The Torah is described as true and unceasing because it affects every aspect of our lives without exception.
