"text": "1 Since creation, God has continually recreated and renewed the world in order to keep it in existence. This verse states that God \"rested\" following creation, despite the fact that He was still recreating the world. As far as God is concerned, only creating something for the first time is considered \"work.\" Making that which has already been made before, however, is considered mere \"rest.\"",
