Each method of belief has its own qualities and advantages. We therefore mention \"our God and the God of our fathers,\" to teach us that in order to attain the most complete level of belief, we must incorporate both aspects: we must study God for ourselves and believe in Him as \"our God,\" but we must also be anchored in tradition—we must believe in God because He is the \"God of our fathers.\"",
