The first group would enter, fill up the Temple Courtyard, and then the Kohanim would close the doors to the Temple Courtyard. If the Levites finished saying the entire Hallel before the Kohanim finished offering all the sacrifices, they would repeat Hallel a second time. If the Kohanim had not finished the service by the time the Levites finished repeating Hallel a second time, they would repeat it a third time.
