"text": "2 The phrase \"to serve Him\" implies that we must carry out God's will as a servant carries out the will of his master: with complete dedication and without any personal agenda. Furthermore, the Hebrew word for \"servant,\" עֶבֶד, shares its root with the term עִיבּוּד, which refers to the difficult process of turning animal hide into parchment. Our service of God, too, requires hard spiritual work: transforming our hearts so that we have feelings of spiritual pleasure instead of physical pleasure. This can be achieved by developing feelings of love and fear toward God.",
