Privacy & Analytics
The New Jew uses optional analytics to learn which reading, listening, and practice experiences are useful. Analytics are never required to use the site.
What is measured
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics receives page and interaction information such as reading progress, listening milestones, drill activity, outbound-link destinations, approximate location, and browser or device information. We do not send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying account information with these events.
Cookies and consent
Analytics remain off until you choose “Allow analytics.” Google Analytics may then use first-party cookies, including a client identifier, to distinguish visits and sessions. If you decline, the Google Tag Manager container and Google Analytics are not loaded.
A strictly necessary cookie named tnj_analytics_consent remembers your choice for 180 days. It contains only the word granted or denied.
No advertising use
Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, and personalization storage are permanently disabled in our consent configuration. The New Jew does not use these analytics events to target advertising.
Change your choice
Use the “Privacy choices” control at the bottom of any page to allow or decline analytics at any time. The site continues to function either way.
