Amidah

עֲמִידָה

Chabad: ' is a reduced vowel — every vocal shva, always pronounced. - separates syllables that would otherwise run together.

How to read the transliterations

You revive the dead

Hebrew

אַתָּה גִּבּוֹר לְעוֹלָם אֲדֹנָי, מְחַיֵּה
מֵתִים אַתָּה, רַב לְהוֹשִׁיעַ.

Chabad

atoh giboyr l'oylom Adonoy, m'chayeih
meisim atoh, rav l'hoyshia.

During the northern winter (between Shemini Atzeret and the first day of Pesach), say מַשִּׁיב הָרוּחַ וּמוֹרִיד הַגֶּשֶׁם.

During the northern summer (between the first day of Pesach and Shemini Atzeret), say מוֹרִיד הַטָּל.

If you said מוֹרִיד הַטָּל during the winter, it is not necessary to go back and correct the error. If you said מַשִּׁיב הָרוּחַ וּמוֹרִיד הַגֶּשֶׁם during the summer and realized the mistake before completing the blessing, return to the beginning of the blessing. If you realized the mistake after saying God's name at the end of the blessing, begin the Amidah again.

קְדֻשָּׁה

Kedushah

During the chazzan's repetition of the Amidah, Kedushah is said. Stand with your feet together and avoid any interruption. Rise on your toes at the words קָדוֹשׁ, קָדוֹשׁ, קָדוֹשׁ; בָּרוּךְ; and יִמְלֹךְ. For transliteration, see page 943.
